Add 'Open with...' to all file types
Add 'Open with...' to all file types:
Go to
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\Shell
Create a New -- Key and name it
openas
Under that, create a New -- Key and name it
command
Double-click the Default value and enter this:
rundll32.exe shell32.dll,OpenAs_RunDLL %1
When you use this, be sure to uncheck the box "Always
use this program to open this type of file" in the
Open With... dialog, unless you want to change
the file association. Or use the next tip to
uncheck it automatically.
Note that if the file type isn't associated
with anything, you'll have two 'open with...' commands.
Doesn't work with WinMe; 'Open with' is
built in to XP
