unedit removes a file that has been checked out for editing so that it appears that it has not been checked out for editing. The file is deleted from the working directory, but is left, untouched, in the Version DataBase (VDB), so that it may be checked out in its original form. unedit may be used to remove files that have, for some reason, been left in the editing file (liste (1) will show which files are listed in the editing file) even though the actual file is no longer in the working directory.
